Welcome to the new official website of Kilrea Pipe Band which replaces www.freewebs.com/kilreapipeband.

Kilrea is a town in Co. Londonderry in N. Ireland situated close to the River Bann. It is about fifteen miles from the Coleraine, thirteen from Ballymena and ten from Ballymoney.

Kilrea Pipe Band made its first public appearance in July 1923 and has since that time taken part in a wide range of activities. It currently wears the Muted Cameron of Erracht tartan. Please have a look at the photograph galleries.

The Band currently competes in Grade 4B and is always keen to welcome new members, either learners or experienced players, to its practices on either Monday or Wednesday evenings. Check out the Piping and Drumming Tuition page on this website for more information on a series of piping and drumming classes, supported by the Ulster-Scots Agency, which begins on 15th October 2008 at 7.30 pm in Kilrea Orange Hall.

If you wish to contact the Band to find out about becoming a member, sponsoring it or hiring it for a concert or other such occasion, please contact the Band using the email address info@kilreapipeband.com. It would also be great to receive any copies of photographs of the band from any time period.

The Band would like to hear from anyone who would be interested in becoming a reserve bass drummer.

For where the Band can next be seen, check out the 2008 Event Diary.
